Day 61: Pura Titha Empul
You know how when you’re having a good time, you just want to keep it going? Even if the planned activities have ended?
Well, by the end of the cooking class — 2 PM — we were so full and happy we wanted to keep the adventure going. Melissa had sussed out a temple with a holy water spring (not hot!) so we went there. It was the night of the full moon and we gathered that this made it particularly auspicious for bathing. Melissa was the only one to take the waters, which evidently will cure insomnia and remove nightmares (spot on Rx!) while I took pictures around the place.
It was an impressive place. Take a look:

Cleansing!
Melissa gets cleansed and purified. This is the first of about a dozen nozzels you take in sequence.
Offering Flowers in Bathing Pool
All the flowers offered up at the sacred bathing pools coalesce at the side of the pool. A beautiful little gyre.
The Final Purification
Once you reach the last nozzle for the ultimate purification, you’ll be cured of insomnia and nightmares.
