Painting of a feast hosted by Ethipian Emperor Menelik II

The Ethnology Museum at Addis Ababa University is a great place to visit. It has interesting exhibits and it’s small enough to leave you wanting more.

A section of the museum consists of various stories told by the many small ethnic groups peppered throughout the country. Most of these stories are accompanied by little cards noting where each of these tribes live, what their lives are like and their size. Most of them are groups of less than 20000 people each.

Here are some of the stories.
